Clicking noise under matt when turning steering wheel right.

Hi All - a bit of a strange one. My brand new VW T32 KOMBI has a strange clicking noise under the rubber matt when I turn the steering wheel right? It happens under my left foot the I rest on the floor rubber matting as I have DSG. VW Assist been out and said they have never seen/heard it before. Its booked in to dealers for May (earliest I could get a replacement van for). Anyone know what this could be? It clicks every time I turn the wheel half a turn.

sounds like either the steering shaft joint catching something or a tie wrap not cut off properly and doing the same.
Get your head down under the dash and see if you can see anything, or under the van where the steering rack is.

Thanks - The guy from VW Assist checked both but couldn’t see anything? He even took the panel off near the pedals
