Choice Of T6 For Conversion

I’ve found a lovely T6 Transporter I’m looking to buy with a view to converting to a full camper. It’s a T28 so I wanted to check some opinion on the unladen weights. I figure that the unladen weight of a Cali Ocean is 2,518 stated with 90% fuel load and a 75kg driver. That weight would therefore be for the Cali full camper and comparable to what I want to do. This would leave a remaining payload of 282kg. 3 more adult, which incidentally we would probably never carry, would take 240kg of these. Am I paranoid of is this a little close to the limit?

Also I intend to put a bike rack on the towbar, which is stated as being a maximum 100kg. Is this full 100kg seen as part of the payload?

I’m sure someone on here has been through this so advice appreciated

Just bare in mind that you should be able to up-plate. So if you find the van of your dreams but it’s a T28, you can always have it uprated to a T30.
