Carpeted Rear Headlining Attachment

Hi guys.
I have had to remove the headlining on my van as my converter did a poor job of insulating.

I was a little surprised to find it glued in place and about 100 screws.

I am going to make a new panel and cover it in new material but don't want to glue it back nor do i want horrible self tapper screws visable.

I am planning to make a new panel from 3mm ply.

Any ideas on the best way to fit it up there?
Have considered Scrivets as per the original roof lining but just wanted to know if i have missed a trick?

if you need the above I got plenty spare, harrisons made a mistake and sent me two lots by mistake, have also got the longer fixings for the two plastic support bars that hold up the roof at the front and the middle. Welcome to them if you want them.
