Just fitted a sport kraft swivel to the passenger side of y caravelle - easy job and it works great.
Not so the drivers side!
The plate fits fine but it fouls the handbrake doh!
The lowering plate provided is of no use from what I can see.
I'm sure other caravelle owners have done this job so what am I missing?
I did wonder about getting raising shims from kiravans?

Drill the spot welds off the original bracket. Then re weld it 40mm down and 25mm forward. Re fit the handbrake, trim 40mm off the bottom of the original plastic and clip it back on

You might be able to buy a seat base ready done

I am looking at the mo...
I thought I saw a post on the T6 forum indicating somewhere in Witney, Oxfordshire might do exchange bases?

Yep. Just off the A40 at the Ducklington Roundabout.

I’m there on Tuesday. I’ll ask Colin if he has any.

Thanks guys, your help is much appreciated.
Think I'm working Tuesday but I'll call them Wednesday.
I assume they are well recommended by T6 forum members?

Yes several people have used them for caravelle rails or additional seats etc

All sorted now @Deaky thanks. Colin is such nice helpful guy, he even cut the handbrake cowl down for me while I was putting the seat back in. :):)

will his bases work on a normal t6 ? i have same problem and want to lower my seat as its far too high now for my short legs

May seem a daft question. With the mod in place. Will the seat swivel with the handbrake fully applied?
I have factory swivels and so called lowered handbrake but it fouls if fully applied.

@nobbyq - I can only suggest you get in touch with Colin and have a chat with him. He has a serious collection of seat bases and he certainly knows what he’s talking about and is very happy to help.

To be honest @Wills I’m not aware of any mod that enables the seat to swivel with the handbrake fully applied. I moded mine with the knowledge that the seat have to be swivelled with the h/brake off and then applied once in position. Not to big a deal for me as mine is has DSG box.
Maybe a fellow forum member can help?
