Can start/stop be switched off?

Hi Folks

I came over a post on one of the FB forums where a chap was selling a plug in system that prevented the auto start/stop working.

It was second hand as he had used it but was selling his T6 and had no use for it but I can’t find the post again.

Is there a system that stops the auto system working as opposed to having to disable it every time I use my T6?

More info here....

Many thanks Dellmassive, just read the entire thread and unfortunately beyond my capabilities lol - posted asking if someone local can help out.

That looks great and I see the one for the 6.1 but has it got the same functions as the one suggested in Dellmassive’s link?

It all looks a bit confusing especially when it’s in pigeon English :(

VCDS can switch it off can’t it? Mine‘s been off since the first week I had the van, pretty sure it was on VCDS.

I'm pretty sure I can do it with VCP definately works on MQB vehicles and I'm sure the last time I had a car in to do it I saw the option for PQ chassis

Yes VCP can do it for PQ
Hi Pauly

PQ? Mine is a 2021 Caravelle T6.1 with the digital dash - is that a PQ vehicle please and if VCP turns it off how can it be turned back on or will it be via the VCP again?

Finally can you but a VCP and how much?

I was answering @Dav-Tec to confirm that VCP works on T6 which is PQ platform

It also works fine on T6.1 which is MQB platform

Its not something you want to buy mate, its a few hundred quid and doesnt have much use to the average end user its designed more for flashing control module software and stuff like that

The only noticeable change on the VCDS scan was one of the readiness bits in module 01 (engine) had flipped
Original scan = 0 0 0 0 0
New scan = 0 0 0 0 1
Did the readiness clear back to "0 0 0 0 0" by doing some driving or did it stay at "0 0 0 0 1" "forever"?

@Pauly I figured as much - have a good friend that tunes Land Rovers and the amount of money he has tied up in various “tools & software” is astonishing not to mention the subscriptions lol.

So do you think the best option is the AliExpress unit or the wired option mentioned by gembleto and paying someone to wire it in for me?

Hi all i went into
61 battery reg
Adaption 13
Changed to 002066
Using vag-com/vcds

Works fine in my 2018 t6 Australian version,
Still has start stop indicator with line through on instruments
but i can live with that.

TBH i cant remember but i have subsequently seen those bits change on another vehicle with nothing to provoke it ?

Thanks! I was curious because here in Finland incomplete readiness would be a failure in MOT :speechless:
