Low fuel pressure, P0087 please help

Could be the fuel pressure sensor or regulator on the fuel rail, or the injectors are leaking and not holding pressure

Think im going to have too now,
New lift pump, new hpfp, new fuel rail (including both new sensors) and it's still the same

Don’t replace individual components without identifying the failure, fuel is flowing in a circuit, leak oil from the injectors is returned to the tank and re-circulated.
The fuel filter has a limit, it doesn’t remove all contamination.
As for checking visually for swarf, the clearances on the injectors are mere microns, you can’t physically see the debris that can damage these parts.
Many cases of fuel system damage are caused by human intervention, when the system is open the casual wipe over with what looks like a clean rag or filling a filter element from what looks like a clean jug can be a very expensive mistake.
Diesel fuel systems are a clean room job.

I re-build hydraulic systems for a living so 100% agree with you and know the cleanliness needed when working on the system.
What do you suggest I do next? I'm getting desperate

Remove and test the injectors, if they are damaged they will contaminate the rest of the system.

Thanks, im trying to find someone with vcds to plug it in and do some logs as per earlier in the thread as well.
Is it worth running some injector cleaner through or am I dreaming for an easy solution

I don’t think it’s worth it any situation certainly not yours.

Nope, I just started replacing bits hoping it would go away, stupid I know! And it hasn't worked.
Parts changed
Lift pump
Hpfp
Genuine fuel filter
Fuel rail including pressure relief valve and pressure sensor.
All brand new parts
Was probably the injectors all along

VCDS is definitely the first action to take. Have a Search on the Forum this not an uncommon issue.
If it was initially a damaged HPFP it has almost certainly damaged the injectors and debris will have passed back to the tank via the pressure regulation and injector leak lines.
There is a written VW procedure to deal with this situation, VW replace some parts where they could be flushed.

If the HPFP and injectors are run dry damage will be done.
There have been cases where injectors have been removed and stored dry which has resulted in corrosion and failure.
