Campsites, Lake District

Hi,

Not having visited the lakes before, shocking as were only from South Yorkshire
Could any body please point us in the right direction regarding reccomendations for some nice clean campsites around the Lakes

Park Foot in Pooley Bridge is good and reasonably priced.

Showers are hot, all facilities clean and only a short walk into Pooley Bridge to the pubs.

Eskdale is number one, considering the drive to it, i won't spoil it for you just book it

You can have campfires here and is only down the road or catch the ratty.

If you want to walk the high fells around Scarfel Pike or Great Gable, this is a remote but great site. They were just finishing a new shower block a few weeks ago.

If you are walking the Great Langdale campsite run by the NT is ideally placed .. not been there for a good few years, but the location is great for walkers
