Where is camper monkey based?
Thanks
Paul

Mick is the guy behind Camper Monkey, he's based on Masham near Ripon. Lovely guy and definitely not scared to recommend him, took great care and pride in his work on my van.

Cheers, it's getting there. Sure it won't be to all tastes but I like it.

A terrible pic, grabbed as I left work but I love how the van sits now. Mick at Camper Monkey did me proud with set up and it rides really nicely. The back sits just a smidge higher but at my request as it will hopefully be about level once I start the conversion in the back. It's currently just an empty panel van. Next up will be the gloss black grilles etc. See how it looks before I decide on a splitter...

Love the stance and the way that sits…👍

Bit more done this weekend. Floor pulled up, battens down in 9mm ply, Dodo Deadn Duo down, ply floor bonded back in and finally the vinyl down. New deeper step and wider threshold in rear too. Going to be a bit of delay now as I've just heard from supplier that the U shape install I wanted is a 10-12 week lead time! I'll be off my feet by then as I'm due to have an op next month and won't be able to drive for at least 3 months after that. Might struggle to get sorted before summer now. Bit gutted. Anyway, pics...

Van looks great! 😍Could I ask where you got your floor vinyl and what colour that is? Also the headliner material? Thanks ☺️

Thanks chaps. As with most of the stuff I have added, the headlining came from Transporter HQ. It's great material too, easy to work with for the roof panels anyway. They alao sell it on Ebay and occassionally do discounts and free delivery on there which helps.

The vinyl floor is a piece that I found locally, can't remember the colour name, from a local vinyl flooring and carpet shop but honestly there's lots of similar stuff out there.

Thanks!
I never imagined choosing a floor colour would be so hard ! Haha.. I also see everyone seems to fit the altro flooring but I cant find any hard arguments against normal vinyl flooring! Provided it's decent quality!

Same. Vinyl will rip or tear if you abuse it, I wouldn't rule it out just cos it's not what everyone does.

Changed Transporter badge for black lettering. Added some extra lights inside, that'll be it forna while now, got an Op coming up and will be out of actions for a few months afterwards so progress will stall a bit. Have some furniture booked forninstall, U-shape set up from Cymru Campers but not ready until July, not sure how I'll get van to them as I'll be laid up. Bad timing lol.

280mile trip down to Cymru Campers. Set off just before 5am and gor here before 11am whichnisn't bad going! I'm hoping they can get furniture installed and sorted in time for me to still drive back home later tonight. Excited to get some actual furniture in there so it's less of just a van. I also put cab divider curtains and THQ side window black out curtains in last weekend. It's starting to get there. Electrics to go in once furniture is done and then I can maybe even think about using the thing for something other than work commute and shopping lol.1000024427.webp

How would I go about getting this thread moved to Camper/Day Van section of the forum? It's turned into more of a build thread than an introduction. Is there a Mod to contact?

Can someone point me in the right direction please chaps?

Done. 👍

Some images of the U-shape layout I have had fitted from Cymru Caper Furniture based in Capel Hendre nr Swansea (a good 12 hours round trip!) This layout works really well for me and the missus, I'm in recovery from knee surgery at the moment but looking forward to using it properly in a couple of months when I can drive again. Few bits still needed, fridge, sink/water and a hob plus install of electrics incl sockets. Getting close now.20250629_131450.webp20250627_160149.webp20250627_160304.webp20250627_160430.webp20250627_160552.webp20250629_125326.webp

What leisure electrics set up have you got?
I've gone with a simple no-gas all-electric set up. Primarily using an Ecoflow Delta Max 2 and a victron charger for some DC stuff. It's only for overnight and weekends sway for me and the missus.

Got my Ecoflow Alternator Charger in today, cable has been run through van and charger mounted inside cupboard unit. LEDs fitted around underside of cabinet worktop, pop up multisockets and charger fitted into worktop, oh and fitted myself a 360° swivel quick release table. Just the fridge now and maybe a set of LED rear lights but almost done to a point where I can be happy. Might actually be time to book a night or two away...
