Brake Wear Mileage?

I've got a 2016 Shuttle with approx 18500 miles on.

Anyway had new tyres a couple of months ago while a brake check Inc. kwik fit said the fronts were ok but rears was about 60-70% worn.
So today the bus went into VW for some other work and I got them to check and they said
fronts pads 60%
rears discs and pads 70%

They said this is normal for the mileage and that the rears will wear a little more due to the weight of the rear seats.

Just like to know people's thoughts and what sort of mileage people are getting out of a set.

also VW have fixed price options on brakes but only show T5 so I'm guessing they will be the same?

I've just changed my front pads for the first time at 35k and they still had quite a bit of life left in them. I changed only really because I wanted to test the claims that the EBC pads were far less dusty, something I'm struggling to believe because mine are no better or worse than original VW fitted set.
Front disks are worn and really they should be changed when you do the pads, but I didn't.

Rears are not worn at all to be honest.
I'm running a 204 big brakes and I'm a heavy braker.

Front pads will always wear faster than rears due to weight shift under braking.

In my previous experience it was about 2x front sets to one rear set..

Disc wear is roughly proportional too with a new set of discs being required every 2 or 3 pad set changes.

Minimum disc thickness is listed so can be checked.

In recent years it's corrosion that's been the reason for brake disc replacement on vehicles I've owned - never got anywhere near the wear limit.

I expected the fronts to wear quicker than rears but two weeks after changing my front pads the sensor light came on because the rears were low so have done them now too all at just under 40k

I'm on 35k. Original disks and pads. I've always found on previous cars the fronts wear out twice as quick as the rears.
I do a lot of motorway miles with limited breaking as I find if you drive in the inside lane you will easily be able to get past any BMW.
Audi drivers are more difficult as they tend to hog the middle lane.

The fronts wearing faster is how my experience has always been. but the vw tech said it's because it's a shuttle and the weight of the seats which I thought was a little random. 90% of the time it's only me and a few weekends where I may have me the wife and 5 kids so still don't think the weight should be the issue.
