Is it that the Wold conkering Vikings do not like dogs full stop, concerns relating to disease and vaccination or is it a breed specific problem?

Sorry didnt want to divert this great thread! Breed specific. Staffordshire Bull Terriers are banned in Germany and Denmark, however (edited a few days later after research) I have since discovered there is a 4 week tourist exception (with the right paperwork) in Germany. So UK > Netherlands > Germany > Sweden > Norway is feasible. And also (Edited yet again!) Am allowed to transit Denmark as long as dont hang around. Happy days. Also understand my dog wont really be an issue as is quite small and legislation aimed at bigger bully type dogs.

Did the Atlantic Road way today and staying at a great campsite called Bud Camping. I had pre booked and the spot is amazing, right by the sea.

Not many photos today but they can’t do justice to this place. It truly takes your breath away around every corner. Nothing I have experienced before can compare.

Definitely will be back with more time and more freedom.

Not sure on your direction of travel, but if you want an off grid night then we stayed here underneath a glacier. Stunning location, just before the road up to the Dalsnibba view point.
Also, a boat trip along the Geraingerfjord is a great trip.

Few days of wet weather and a days rest and been back on the move. heading further south and staying at Austre Bokn Camping.

Managed to fit in the odd wild swims, saves on showers and feel fresher lol

Fantastic - the scenery really looks breathtaking! Any issues with mosquitoes or other bitey things? Seen much wiild life? Hope Mrs ChimpusMaximus is enjoying the trip now. My dog issue has a solution (I edited post #81 above).

Had a few bugs and one bite so far but not been too bad. We have a fly screen on sliding door and that’s been enough to stop anything. Probably no worse than the uk in terms of either being in a field or by water. Smidge seems to work and I have a thermacell if sat out.

Wife is better and eating the place dry.

Fantastic pictures, its such a beautiful place. We did it last year, 26 days and 6000 miles up Norway across and down Finland. Spectacular scenery and fantastic places to stop. We did the Atlantic highway and loved it, saw santa and went to the artic circle and over to the Russian border for a quick picture. I'd recommend Scandinavia in a heartbeat .

Well It was hell to be honest but here at Camperpark Midas for the night before run for the tunnel tomorrow

Home at last… amazing trip and a life time of memories made. In total it was about 3500miles after cutting short and skipping some bits.

Definitely want to go back with a lot more time and get further north.

Thanks for taking us on your trip. Great photos and info. I think next time you go you need to go for longer and in a A class motorhome also called Bertie. Funnily enough I know of one coming up for sale in the winter.
