Basic VCDS “kit”

As I like to spend my weekends making simple mods to my van, and in doing so, spawning fault codes like they are going out of fashion, I think I need to delve deeper into the brain of my van than my Carista can go….. is there such a thing as a “basic” VCDS kit? I’ve had a Google and there seems to be plenty of choice. Can anyone recommend? I don’t want to get my V2 hex nuts all tangled with me can bud lead!

Its all down to how many vehicles you want to use it on
If you are only going to play with your van then go for the hex V2 3 vin unit at £225
If you want more capacity to program more vehicle then the 10 vin unit is £299

You can upgrade the vin limit afterwards from 3 -10 and 10 - unlimited but its £169 each time so worth considering that now !
