barn door sensor location ?

My barn doors show as open on the driver display unit- bright white line across rear of van image. the interior light is also on. Both barn doors are firmly closed. Where are the microswitches/ sensors for this.
I have the haynes electronic version of the van but it's pretty p#ss poor for anything.

Hi

I've an issue which recently started where when I was driving over bumps the dashlight for the rear barn doors was showing 'open' intermittently (this is when the doors are closed), over the next couple of days it became permanent. This just happens to coincide with my alarm going off numerous times at night.

This is 2006 T5 Transporter converted in to a campervan

I've located what I think is the switch on the left barn door door that is used to detect open/closed to the dashboard, alarm .... (although I'm not sure)

It looks like the sensor is in the catch mechanism.

Temp Result..
So a bit of messing about, I found that there are wires running from bottom latch mechanism and top latch mechanism on the final closing barn door. I also found by disconnecting the twin wire - think brown and white- and shorting out the male pins side - this fixed the dashboard indicator, so now rear door will always show as closed and my interior light now works properly with other doors. So a temp fix- will it ever get a perm fix ?
So it looks like the top and bottom latches are wired together and presented via the 4 pin plug as the brown and white wires in the pic attached.
It might help others. Vw T6 2016 T2 8model.

I am not sure what type of sensors they are (contact, proximity etc) but you could try cleaning the connectors and cleaning/lubricating the latches to see if that helps.
