Dashboard Light for rear barn door showing open (when its closed)

Hi

I've an issue which recently started where when I was driving over bumps the dashlight for the rear barn doors was showing 'open' intermittently (this is when the doors are closed), over the next couple of days it became permanent. This just happens to coincide with my alarm going off numerous times at night.

This is 2006 T5 Transporter converted in to a campervan

I've located what I think is the switch on the left barn door door that is used to detect open/closed to the dashboard, alarm .... (although I'm not sure)
Please see phot attached - given there's wires attached I'm assuming that detects open/closed

Can anyone confirm if they think this is the correct component that needs replacing - I'm assuming there's a switch inside (I've given it a good spray with WD40, but seemed to do nothing)
I then need to locate the part - any help with that greatly appreciated

I’ve just started to get the same issue. Did you ever get this resolved.

hopefully sorted now. The door had been left open in the rain for a while and the insulation had gotten wet. Dried out remove switch from lock and applied wd40. Seems to have gone away now
