Badjamins van conversion

It looks like there may be money for a pop-top in the near future and how exciting it will be to be able to stand up in the van.

I am, however contemplating a significant change with the van interior as I feel the rear layout doesn't work for me and the wife. So I am thinking the cheaper option is gonna be changing to a U shape layout...

I will need to sell my front seats and rear 112 RIB - they have matching upholstery
and also sell my units with hob and fridge

Then I'll need new front seats - 1+1 captains or bench + captains

Then I'll have to make some U shape rear furniture with or without a kitchen pod/side unit

I have no time off for the foreseeable - Stress

Have you ever sat in a U-Shape layout Transporter?

I like the idea but there's not alot of room for legs

I think there are a few plus's for a U shaped layout that attract me. I think leg room isn't gonna be much of a problem as we'll likely, just the two of us, be sat in the rear corners and have our feet up or at least one leg up. It'll be more intimate for eating at a table together in that format also. It'll be better for me to have room for my broad shoulders when the beds out as I struggle to move and change sides with the limited 56cm allocation on my side. Plus it'll be awesome to have some back specific cushion/mattress comfort. If we had young kids I'd keep the setup I have but both our boys are grown up and over 6' tall and are able to get to destinations under there own steam, so the rear seats are no good for them in driving mode.

Hopefully I can sell the whole set up I have and fund new (to me) front seats and a proper CNC cut rear set up as I just don't have the time to design and make my own, as much as I'd love to. Am kinda hoping if I take it to a converter, that thay will take the old setup and discount a new U shaped one but unlikely to be any profit in it for them.

One thing I really want back, is the option to have my e-bike in the van and a 112 set up just doesn't allow for that unless I set the bed up and lay the bike on it.
