Autodoc driveshaft… wrong part?

Not sure if wrong part, haven’t fitted properly or is a suspect part?

Had a drivers side driveshaft from Autodoc. Tried fitting it but the hub bolt is different. Is only 5 side and is small. Tried the old bolt which worked but then can’t actually get the hub back on.

Took driveshaft out and realised the until is about an inch shorter than the old one.

Is marks as an SKF part, but surprised it came with an incorrect bolt.

Going to go back to Autodoc but wanted to see if anyone had similar experience? Autodoc seemed a bit too good/cheap to be true so worried could be wrong part or suspect quality.

Or I’ve just fitted it wrong… here’s some pictures of old and new bolt.

I won’t order anything from AUTODOC again for exact same reason.
Wrong part
Getting a driveshaft for a T6 isn’t easy. It’s a pain in the arse getting the correct part.
Don’t order from europarts either for same reason.
Best bet is JR trading

Seems getting any decent parts is tricky! Alternator was main dealer supply only, decent EGR was main dealer only and looks like I’ll be going again for driveshaft.

I guess you mean nut not bolt as I can’t see any bolts?
It’s a six sided hexagonal Nyloc nut not 5 sided?
It’s simply a different drive type nut however there should be a thrust washer under it.
Drive shafts can be an issue to source correctly, Autodoc normally have a reliable compatibility check depending on VIN.

I bought a lower arm for a BMW recently, on Autodoc.
First time I've ever used them.
They sent the wrong part and a month later after returning it to them in the unopened plastic bag, I still haven't had a refund.

Did you request a return online and use the return postage? I’ve only done one return to them but it went smoothly, PITA with the customs declaration but that’s not Autodocs fault.

Is there any "milage" in using Ebay assured fit route for parts? Not used it personally, but wondered if anyone else had?

Yes, the return and refund was authorised by Autodoc but I need to chase up getting my money. The part wasn't even close to being what I needed and they agreed that their website listed the registration and configuration said it was right, incorrectly.

Likewise, I recently returned two lower arms that I bought for the Missus Mokka, nothing wrong with them but she decided to sell the car before I got round to fitting them (about 6 months :think smile bounce: )
Did it all online and received the money back about a week later.

Try your local TPS.
They are trade only however will sometimes deal with cash buyers.
They offer a small discount usually to the main dealer prices too👍

Those prats at AutoDoc have sent me a load of wrong parts for my C70. "Oh, our incompatibility checker isnt accurate, should only be used as a guide" they say. Shame they never tell you that before ordering. First and last time ill be using them.

Fortunately they now get to argue the toss with Barclaycard instead of me pulling out my hair.

One funny moment though. Their chaps tactic of trying to hide behind broken English failed miserably als ich fließend Deutsch sprach. He wasnt expecting that.
