I’m afraid Adding the amp will exacerbate it even more, the vibe is also not the best quality .
The factory head unit is EQ’d to death , so no matter what you do with the audio settings it will not make much of a difference, also the bass rolls off when you turn it up.
There is a trick done by coding on these units that does help
Ooooh that goes loud! All back in and working, did not like taking the clocks and stereo surround off one bit! Bit of a nightmare figuring out the Quadlock to ISO adapter but I got there in the end.
Got gains set at about two thirds both front and back, sound quality is definitely 'better' with far more clarity, more bass, treble still a little piercing at times (depends what music I'm playing). Voice (no music) is a lot clearer.
Hey folks, attempting to fit an Alpine Halo 11, E-Call retention kit & a Mosconi Pico amplifier. Just laying it all out and I can't figure out how to interface between the Halo & the Pico ? Am I missing a cable to come out of the Halo's pre out to connect this to the inputs of the Pico ?
I'm assuming in regards to the speakers that I just need to remove the brown block from the main quad lock connector that sits behind the standard radio unit and connect that up to the black on the Pico loom also?
Any help would be much appreciated as it's my first go at this kinda thing.
Thanks for the advice ! Massively appreciated It's all in roughly for testing but have some weird things to try and chase..
- The Canbus adapter isn't showing up in the settings menu, the steering wheel volume controls don't work yet when I put it into reverse it does show up the rear camera feed. Which to me would suggest that some it does work ?
- Only the Right A pillar & drivers door card speaker works currently. (All components worked previously) I haven't had chance to load the Gladen software for the amp onto a PC yet to check it's config but I assumed (Maybe wrongly) that as it was part of the T6.1 Appearance upgrade set specifically designed for the van that with all the looms joined up correctly the OEM stuff would just work....
Going to do some searching around on here for any more clues and hopefully make some more progress tomorrow.....
