Any alloy brands to avoid?

You asked about 20's and you will get 2 distinct responses usually. I love 20's but you have to want to have 20's as you can really only get excellent ride quality if you invest in quality suspension, no cheap stuff. Comfort comes from the shocks plain and simple. Most people that have 20's and want to change them are usually running totally standard suspension or lowered springs only. Both the unsprung mass of 20" alloys and tyres are too much for the standard shocks and they can't dampen the stiffer spring. Good uprated shocks like Koni Sports, Bilstein B8 and a few others or top of the range coilovers give even better than standard levels of comfort, stability and ride quality. Also get decent tyres with a load rating as close to the minimum as possible not way above as these can be too stiff.
