Morning folks, had a quick search but got lost in the technical details....I have a 24 plate with navigation....I can get android auto perfectly with the usbc but can't seem to get it wireless. Should I be able to?

I rented a Renault master a few weeks ago and that connected in seconds after a few questions....I now know not to waste time trying 
For the record I do have the wireless option and I wish I didn't, which my phones (Sony Xperias) it's very unstable and keeps reconnecting, and every time it does it forces the app connect screen to the front even over the reversing camera which is a royal pain when jumping into the van to shuffle it on the drive.
And of course Google removed the option to disable wireless on the phone as well now...

I'll second the Motorola dongle it works perfectly.
Thirded, Motorola MA1 works brilliantly, connects far quicker than wired! The only time don't use it is on long drives as it'll cane the battery running wireless AA, GPS, Spotify etc.
So... Anyone care to provide some help. Van was in for MOT. Decided in my wisdom to disconnect android auto etc and Bluetooth. Never done before not sure why I took it upon me to.
Long story short I cannot get Android auto to work again. Can connect to device via Bluetooth and WiFi is there to connect to but asking for password ... The instructions etc show a hard reset but when I hold button for 35 seconds the led goes red not white or yellow...
I think from memory when I first connected it was a bit of a hit and hope. Had worked seamlessly and still would if I hadn't disconnected it
