How does everyone else find the aircon on their vans?

Been using it for the last week or so seen as summer arrived, on the 150bhp manual it felt really draggy, really hit the mpg?

Is this normal? On a similar power bmw diesel we've got you can't even tell when it's on or off?

Thanks!
Rich

Mines on all year round I've switched it off but absolutely no change in fuel consumption so I never switch off now.

Don’t notice it at all on my T6. I think more modern vehicles have more efficient air con units.
If I turn on the aircon on my 2006 Audi TT then I definitely feel a “drag”.

I have a 150 and I haven't noticed enything you describe , only difference a find is the start stop seems to disable as it must be using more power so mibi the mpg would be lower but haven't noticed it to be honest

Thanks for the replys!

That's exactly what it feels like, an old skool air con system!

I don't know if I'm going mad or not, I'll try and do a mpg test on a stretch of road or something
