Air con flashing

Hi all,


I was driving my T5.1 campervan with a completely flat battery, and suddenly the ABS light started flashing along with the air conditioning lights. Since then, the air con has stopped working completely.


My garage has fixed the ABS issue, but they’re unsure what’s happened with the air con. They're now suggesting the HVAC unit might need replacing — which could cost around £1,000.


Has anyone experienced anything similar or know what might be causing this? I’d really appreciate any advice before committing to such an expensive repair.

Ps obviously i replaced the battery!

What were the circumstances where you came to be driving a van with a flat battery? Did the auxiliary belt fail?

I had silly things on my 5.1 when the battery failed ,new battery and dash lights flashing.some one on the forum told me to do a bcm reset by removing positive and negative from battery and then joining them together for about 10 seconds and reconnect

What were the circumstances where you came to be driving a van with a flat battery? Did the auxiliary belt fail?

Long story short. I bought a radio and usb adapter from ebay and it was draining my battery.
