Aftermarket tail-lamps flicker?

My non led OEM lights seem to have a small flicker.

Hardly noticeable until I park upto car park wall and I can see the light in the wall flicker.

Both sides it appears to be.
Could it be the battery? It’s a Moll. Don’t have any other electric issues.

Any ideas appreciated.

That’s a tricky one and can’t think of an easy way to diagnose it ?
All lights are fed separately so if it’s flickering both sides then I would suspect a fault with the overall system rather than an individual cable/feed
It’s possible for a weak/failing battery to cause all sorts of random and often weird issues
May be worth getting that battery properly tested before trying to fault find anything so your not wasting your time of it is the battery

I had both lights out and disconnected about a month ago to clean. Filthy on the backside! I was careful.

Can’t see both connectors not seating right.

Is it a dealer job to test the battery?

To 100% fully test a battery it will require charging and discharging to measure capacity etc and that takes time (and the battery being disconnected) but think i would start by taking it to a local battery shop who will check voltage and do a quick load test, this will tell you what its state of charge is like and give you a good idea if its good or bad

Just checked it’s a Moll battery prob orig from 2016.

Might just get a Varta fitted anyway.
