Aftermarket 3 piece lower grill issues

I had my T6 grills painted by a body shop. I had a similar concern on the texture but once painted, they came back totally smooth. No sign of the original textured finish. The process of sanding, undercoat and layered painting did the job.

I’m really pleased with how they turned out, and the fit is spot-on. Go for it.

That's great news @TW2904 and exactly the sort of reply I was hoping for! You wouldn't have any photos would you? I'm definitely gonna go for it on the painting now - booked in for May 23, so I'll let you know how I go. I'm just gonna have to do some sanding before then I think! Thanks mate!

Use a fine grit paper or wet and dry on your last few sands. You’ll be fine.
DRL ( daytime running lights) these are the little lights in the grill. And I had to drill holes for the parking sensors too.
