I’m driving a T6.1 2020, 150 DSG. I’ve had a EGR delete and ever since been having an engine check light on the dash coupled with what seems really high AdBlue consumption. I’ve added the screen shot of the error code using OBD II.
Symptoms:
When ever I fill the AdBlue tank it will only register 2500miles range max, although I could have swore when I first got the van (Oct 2024 and before the EGR delete) it was showing higher but can’t recall exactly. As an example I fill it up with a 10ltr drum when it was showing around 800miles left and I could visibly see the AdBlue fluid in the neck of the tank nozzle, so it was full. It only registered 2500miles and then drove to Europe. I got to around 1300miles and it’s back down to 800miles left. I’ve filled again with 10ltrs and again only registering 2500miles.
The engine check light comes on sporadically and I can clear the error code using OBD II. At first it only seemed to come on whenever I restarted the engine and was using the Adaptive Cruise Control but then it still comes on even if I don’t.
The engine is clearly using AdBlue at a higher consumption rate, as 1300 + 800 = 2100miles.
However, even if I achieved 2500miles on a full tank of AdBlue this still seems really high consumption rate. I’ve heard other threads talking of much higher mileage and I thought you could do around 6-8 months of driving before needing to fill up. Yet I’m filling up nearly every month and it’s getting silly, not to mention expensive.
I’ve checked the Nox sensor and it all looks good and the wires intact. So I don’t think there’s an issue with the Nox sensor itself.
Potential Solutions:
I know I could delete the AdBlue but I don’t really want to for MOT reasons and because it’s there for a reason to reduce the harmful Nox produced.
I could reinstall the EGR valve and pipework but the reason I deleted it was because I heard of the cooler issues and seriously messing up the engine if they get clogged.
Is there anything else I could do?

1. What is the AdBlue tank capacity?
2. What is a ‘normal’ AdBlue range displayed in the MFD?
3. What are other people’s AdBlue consumption rate?
4. What might be causing my issue? I’m convinced the engine check light is connected to the AdBlue consumption I’m experiencing.
