Hi all

I am wondering if anyone has used Absolute Reg to buy a private registration?

It's the first time I have ever bought a plate. Everyone I speak to has said it's been a fairly straightforward process to buy a reg, but I suspect I've been sold a plate they don't have. It's nearly 6 weeks I have been waiting - am told there are delays with DVLA when I have contacted them.

Any thoughts welcome. Can this be normal, and I should wait ... Or am I getting the runaround?

Maybe @JOG is asking if the reg is on the DVLA website?
If it is maybe buy direct from them.

Ah got you. No, it's pre-owned sadly.

Found a couple of backup options with DVLA if this doesn't complete.

That’s what is causing the delay - they either have yet to buy it from the assignee or agree being their agent
