Abs fault after battery change

Since changing battery I now have an abs fault . Lock to lock doesn’t clear nor does using a scanner . Scanner states n/s rear abs sensor fault . Anyone else had a similar issue . Was all fine before battery change .

Coincidence I would think, the wheel speed sensors are not very reliable. Autodoc do a good price for Bosch sensors, If you are planning on keeping the van I’d buy a set of 4. Easy job. I’m at approx’ 78K miles on a 2016 van and I’ve replaced 3 so far.

Thanks DXX . Only other thing I have done is fitted rear belts and a triple seat just before change . Not sure where the loom run is for the abs but hoping it’s just coincidence

Have you taken it for a drive? IIRC I think someone said that will clear it.

Yes have driven it Manfrotto. Sadly didn’t clear . Seems a coincidental abs sensor failure may be the cause . Will know later today .

Sounds like coincidence, if you had damaged wiring fitting something, you might get Open circuit or Short to ground message depending on your scanner. Can you monitor the sensor on scanner while spinning the wheel or driving it to see/compare the signal output?

Scanner showing zero reading on n/s/r when driving so will change sensor and hope it was a coincidence
