Hi

I rang A plan today to check I’m insured to travel in France which I am under my normal policy for up to 180 days.

While I was on the phone she took the details of our departure and return dates and where we were going. I asked why she was taking this and was told that all travel outside the UK needs to be notified to them in advance. :-0

I do not recall being advised of this nor is stated on the certificate.

I recently took out insurance with A plan and they did specifically ask about euro cover i cant remember exactly how they worded it and they did not categorically state it they did suggest i inform them if/when going abroad

Wonder what the implications would be ?

On a different vehicle, I used to have track day cover built into normal road insurance and it was plastered everywhere that you needed to notify the insurers a minimum of 24 hours in advance of a trackday.
