- 204ps Bi-Turbo CXEB T6 Engine & Turbo problems -

2018, 204hp 4motion. Using 1ltr every 1200 miles but upped to 1 litre in 400 miles when towing. Van has 70k miles on it. No investigation work yet but doing compression test soon.
Welcome to the club.

Could be turbo or worn block.... Keep us updated.

And another one. 204 4Mo 2019 CXEB 64500 miles, having second oil consumption test and first didn't complete (low oil alarm under 400 miles and Assist topped it up to get us home). Thankfully under All-in Warranty and has been since manufacturer warranty expired. Adds insult to injury, we had a 180 2013 plate and same issue. Never thought lightning would strike twice.

@Dellmassive You can officially add me to the list for an engine replacement. The back story of mine is:

My van is a 2017 with now 97,000 miles on it.

Breakdown and failed small turbo back in January 2025 @ 93,000 miles - this happened on a long journey up to the lake district when the Adblue warning light came on to tell me their was an issue with the sensor. Not long after I had power issues and it went into limp mode. I managed to get to the destination but got recovered back and a courtesy car provided (very happy with the all in cover!). They diagnosed the small turbo bearing had sheared so a new turbo unit was provided.

After this I noticed my oil was going down at an alarming rate (0.5-1l per 1,000 miles) so I monitored and reported to VW. I had an oil consumption test which frustratingly passed (circa 0.35l per 1,000km!). I have put more miles on the van and then re-ran the oil consumption test a month ago with longer and fully loaded with camping gear journey's - the result of which is a fail (I don't know by how much still as I don't have the paperwork)

As a result I am now getting a new engine block, CAT, DPF etc. I am having to contribute to the CAT & DPF replacement as they arent covered by the all in warranty (I have argued on this point but am still having to contribute!)

I will be happy to have a new engine and hopefully put the issue behind me - but I am now without my van for 2 weeks and don't know how long this will take from here! Overall - I'm very thankful for having taken the all in warranty as I have certainly had my monies worth from it!
