Hello,

I have been scouring the forum and all over the internet for answers on an issue I have my 2017 VW t6 transporter that I have recently converted into a campervan.

the obvious diagnosis is a boost leak as it is a loud moving air/wooshing sound coming from behind the dash in the centre/left hand side. I have visually checked all the pipes and boost cooler for a leaks and can't find any loose or damaged hoses.

It comes on between 1800rpm and 2400rpm and and then subside's a little. if i really put my foot down to accelerate quickly it is almost non existent though so maybe valve related?

EGR pipes as far as I can tell are not split or damaged.

Power seems to be a little bit down but not a huge difference and the van has never gone into limp mode or been running smokey.

If anyone has any ideas or similar situations I'd really appreciate the help.

Thanks

I'm not saying that this is certain to be your problem, but it might be a split that you can't easily see.

Of course, I have tried looking a number of times and tried the brake cleaner method, not sure how recommended or accurate that is.

I guess a pressure test would be needed but my local garage where I bought it from is looking but not having much luck - it's still under warranty. I'm not sure how thorough they are being though.
