2016 t6 info entertainment system

Hi everyone. Just registered today !
Bought a used t6 but I can’t seem to connect my iPhone either by BT pairing or using a cable .
The touchscreen doesn’t work either
Do I need a software update for anything to work bar the radio ?

I had a kenwood that kept turning it's self off, and back on ( don't help when on a call).. I went on to the kenwood site, and downloaded software, to update the head unit.. it worked for a while but started again.. So I thought.. if I disconnected it, it might reboot?..

When I reconnected it, it asked for a security code ( numbers ).. looked in the had book information.. No.. code.. so had enough of my own voice while driving.. So fitted a new head unit with a bigger upright screen.. Apple car play & android auto, Bluetooth, even stuff I will never use..

Screen looks nice enough ,buttons are abit clunky looking . Main thing is ....does it work without turning itself off ?

I like chunky, that's why I went for it.. works fine, better than me singing..
