My Van started life as a grey van and was converted by Stowford Stowford Leisure – Supplier of New & Used Caravans & Motorhomes in Devon which is where the previous owner bought it from.
During this time he was posted abroad on two tours with his job (Navy) which meant he didn't use it very much. I bought it with 4,000 miles on it in 2019.
It's spent most of it's life parked outside my house having been used very infrequently for mainly long weekends, apart from a trip to Norfolk and a trip to the Lake District. Being a third car in the family it is only ever used for holidays.
Since I've had it I had the Webasto Diesel Heater and OEM Westfalia Towbar and Leisure Battery undertray - all professionally fitted.
It's a 5 Speed Manual 2.0 Tdi euro 6 engine - 75KW/ 100HP
Spec wise - I've probably missed loads, but here is the important stuff.
Professionally converted by Stowford Motorhomes.
POP Top roof (the documentation says pop-a-top) but looks very similar to the skyline roof.
Westfalia removable towbar.
Webasto Diesel Heater
Awning strip
Dometic fridge /freezer
Dometic Gas hob
Dometic sink and pop up tap with electric water pump.
Seargant on board 240V
Rear wash wipe
Kiravans swivel front seat
Rib Bed
Wind Deflectors (so you can wind the windows down for ventilation when raining)
Steel side bars
air conditioning
DAB radio
Tinted windows
Lowered
I’ve taken good care of this van with an annual oil and filter change and it has had the paintwork ceramic coated.
On our last trip to the Lake District fully loaded with 4 bikes on the back this car managed to achieve 50 mpg.
This is the first and only time the towbar was used - for the towbar mounted bike rack
Full VW SERVICE history and all keys.
Bad points
- needs a new leisure battery
- service due
