Ok Team.
I’m about to commit to a set of wheels for the T6 project.
However. I’d like some real world, experienced input from those whom may know better than I do.
My concern is 19r 9.5 wide will need a 255/40 to get close the circumference of an original fitment. But this will have a negative impact on ride quality especially on todays road conditions. Or am I worrying too much?
Also plan to fit Koni’s and 30-40mm lowering kit.
Also is there any way to re calibrate the speedo???

9.5 J on the front is too wide in our opinion , the 255 tyre will stretch a bit and this might help stop touching , if we aren't lowering too far it will also help BUT we need to be sure the wheel doesnt stick out of the body as this is technically illegal ! What offset are the wheels you need ET 45 i would think to get this to work.

Thanks for the input chap.
This is what I was fearing would be the case.
Shame, they were a great price.
What would you advise to go for size wise?
What’s a good compromise with the emphasis is ride quality?
Also what’s you opinion on Koni’s

Consider that wide front wheel/tyre combo, can result in a lot of dirt/spray on the sides of your van. It can be a right pain in the winter ! It’s only my opinion but wide wheels on the rear look great, but fronts look better with 8.5j max and say 245/45 tyre max. Hope this helps

We are the biggest customer for KONI in UK and we only buy Transporter shocks from them . they make lots of special application shocks for us and thats how we get great results . Fitting the correct koni shock gives the best results you can get in a Transporter

8.5 \j wheels are the best 245 45 20 tyres gives the best ride / comfort ./ fit and economy etc etc

Cheers
