Hey all

just purchased some Porsche wheels
18 x 8.5 et 52 front plus 30mm adapter plates. ( 215/35/18)
18 x 10 et 47 on the rear with 15mm adapter plates ( 225/40/18)
I'm intending too lower it at some point but I'm yet too know a exact height yet.
My question is can you see them rubbing on the rear width ways? Would I need too mod the plastic lining ?

Thanks sam

fit the wheels and tyres first if you have them already then do about 50 miles see how it feels and looks
you can measure a few things and then decide on lowering
i recon 20mm adapter plates all round not sure about 15mm on rear
whats the PCD of the Porsche wheels ?
those tyre sizes are miles apart too
.. post some pics lets have a look..

Use this website Will They Fit - Online Wheel and Tyre Fitment Calculator and plug in the details of the standard wheels and compare to your new wheels. This will let you know the speedo error but will also tell you how much closer the wheel will be to the suspension. That will then allow you to decide if the speedo error is acceptable and what size spacers you need

Others on here have much more knowledge but doing a quick check, it looks like Porsche use a 5x 130 PCD so they won't fit the VW 5 x 120. Also those tyres are narrower than the rim width so will give no protection to the rims but you probably know that. The speedo will need recalibration as well
