17 Steel wheels aftermarket

I’m just looking to upgrade my 16 inch stock Alloys 16x6.5J 205/65/16 to something around 17 and slightly larger.

I’m looking at JBW and Tuff torque. They’re both 17x8 but the JBW has ET35 and the Tuff has ET 40. I plan on running something like 235/60/17 or maybe 225/65/17 on them.

I’m confused by how they both have different offsets. Which is better? As in which will keep it closest to how VW designed it to be?

The stock steel wheels are 17x7 ET 45.

It’s a T6.1, 2022, T30

Tia for your help

Can I ask why your looking at aftermarket wheels rather than stock steel wheels ?
You will gain 23mm poke from going up and inch in width and changing the offset by 10mm .

GP steels are standard 17” OEM fitment on T32’s.

There is an ebay seller T-93 Euro Chase who has them for £180 a set plus £10 delivery - new take off’s

I was only looking at aftermarket as I wanted to go for some sort of black look for them, and couldn’t find any stock which weren’t silver. Thanks for running it through “will they fit” website. I guess you’ve confirmed what I thought in that it will actually change the setup and handling a fair bit beyond its design.

I’ve just taken a look. They’re actually perfect I just wish there were some powder coated black ones. I would actually be happy with 16” black OEM also, but the only ones I’ve found in “new” condition for sale are collection only, or the seller isn’t responding when I’m asking about sorting out a courier.

If you know any where selling the black 16” OEM steels, I would appreciate it.

Thanks again
