Great Shout!! thanks @TheGrapeEscape
We've got a full width RIB (130cm) that we've tried many different ways of making sleeping bearable and we purchased and tried one of the Trail SIMs at the weekend.
It was very comfortable :) It was great being able to move in the morning, instead of...
As I've finally got a bit of time I thought I'd upload some more pictures and a bit more info.
There's been a couple of externally visible changes from the above. The van now has some 18" black Calibre wheels, these became the summer wheels and the Cascavels the winters. The reflective rear...
For us it’s definitely the 112cm RIB and std unit size around 410mm deep! We may do 1 conversion a year with another size bed…
The narrower units do bring some complications and it’s a bit tricker to have our nice even socket layout as you can see in the pic above. If you go underslung water...
We recently bought a LWB panel van and have had the full stage one conversion completed (poptop / insulation and carpet lining / windows / flooring / electrics / heater / solar panel). We've got no intention of cooking the van so we **thought** we were going to opt for a fridgepod and full width...
Then don’t bother fitting the van out get a full width bed … I had a full camper which got written off …. Now have a slide pod at the back and in winter run seven seats … other night slept in it with seats in
Regarding the SIM sliding forward I can recommend this:
https://www.dunelm.com/product/fogarty-soft-touch-toggle-fitted-sheet-1000253038
We have the 113 RIB and use a 5cm SIM and the poptop foam mattress on top. This works well but we had a fitted sheet specifically for the bed so it was...
Looking for recommendations for somebody to fit a 130cm fixed rib bed with an anchorage kit. I have both but not overly confident of fitting though may be convinced to have a go!
Ideally in the North West and close to the Manchester area.
Thanks
Hi,
I've looked at several T6 conversions now and there is a fairly large difference in internal head height with the pop tops down when I sit on the back seat. I'm 6 foot 4 and on some vans I can't sit up at all whereas on others I can just about.
This is even with the same seats (RIB 130CM)...
We have a Swb T6.1. Just about to purchase our kitchen...we are going for a slimline from VanFurniture (our friend's owns a conversion shop so we have seen them and they are good quality) we are opting for the 130 3deater rib bed too...we had an old T4 with normal sized kitchen and a 2 seater...
Hi All
Im finishing a conversion with a 130cm rib bed and slim evo units on side. Just wondering where people with this conversion
put their gas locker? It's a 907 bottle in a metal container. Thinking of just putting it below the sink but then am squeezed for
room with the fresh water container..
I’m looking to lower my 2023 T28 6.1 Highline. Currently it’s on factory 16’s which it may be on for a while!
Weight wise, in the rear will eventually be a 130cm Rib Bed and a slimline kitchen.
Obviously I’d want a degree of adjustability so both front and rear sit at the same height. Coilovers...
For sale is my LWB T6 indium grey camper.
2019 Volkswagen Transporter campervan
2019 T6 T32 DSG LWB highline kombi campervan conversion. 45k miles. Full main dealer service history (last service Feb ‘25). New cam belt and water pump. New power steering unit and rear disks and calipers. Will be...
Hi all, has anyone experienced the ratchet for the seat base that folds out to break. The seat will fold out without releasing the ratchet handle. The broken ratchet won't allow the seat base to sit level, it droops down. Any advice on a fix, or where or how to get spares. I only got back last...
Thanks Moomin
The want list is endless at the moment.
I sold my totally sorted T5.1 SWB to get a LWB so I am starting again.
The plan so far is:
19" wheels in bronze
Lowered
Front splitter
Trapezoid side bars
Sound deadened and insulated
Carpeted
130cm rock n roll
Slimline units
Etc, etc
But...
we are thinking along the same lines but i have have gone for an Outwell self inflating mattress that is slightly oversized at 130cm. Finding the RIB a hard bed even using 5cm memory foam
Tested it and fell asleep in the Van on the drive :sleep::sleep:
Hi , i am just about to start on the interior of my t6 and wondering if there are any blue prints for slim furniture. I plan on installing a RIB 130cm wide seat/bed and wondering if there are any blue prints for the furniture to go around the seat / contor to the side of the van
cheers
Daniel
Hi
Is that 26 cm total free space , 13 either side ?
Can’t decide on a 130 or 150 rib bed
Have you positioned yours to one side or have you put it in the middle?
And what are you doing with the free space ?
Sorry for all the questions, I just want to make the right decision
Cheers
I am reluctantly selling my stunning 2018 VW T6 campervan conversion. The van was professional converted by Chili Jam Vans who are renowned for both their high end craftsmanship and use of quality parts. Originally I had planned to install a kitchen unit but never got round to it and loved...
