    TüV for poptops

I suspect you're overthinking it but Drivelodge as a brand might need a bit more research in terms of general reputation - personally, I've never heard of them (but that doesnt neccessarily mean that they're not any good).

    TüV for poptops

...in the DACH region, with a poptop that is not TÜV certified? Is it likely to be a problem/illegal/insurance issue? Reason for asking is that I've found quite a decent van but with a Drivelodge roof, which is not TÜV certified, and I will be making regular visits to Germany. cheers Dave

I’ll have a look tomorrow mate. I had a quote from a very highly regarded company for £15k so I’m hoping if I do what I can myself I’ll get it in for £10k. I wish I had the funds for someone to do it for me though!

Hi @FiForres and thanks @Bav Yes, I have a Drivelodge pop top which came with the van, so my experience is that of an owner rather than someone who has gone through the installation process. Positives Good quality construction The canvas has withstood some pretty strong winds whilst up...

...I've looked at all the big names, skyline, westbuds, and some new players like storm. I found a company called flipin dubz that fit drivelodge poptops, for£2750, the interesting bit is the roof has a "proper" welded strengthen frame, m1 tested, all the others seem to with a frame is only...

    Drivelodge Pop Top

Hi Mark, I`m in the same situation re: roofs. I need a low roof for everyday use and 2mtr barriers and was thinking Austops until told about Drivelodge, how did you get on?

Best Pop Top for a T6

Often overlooked and a fraction of the cost of a Reimo or SCA is a Drivelodge roof. Fitted a number of these, including to our hire vans where noobs don't really deploy with any mechanical empathy and they give us less problems than any others.

Best Pop Top for a T6

If it's a bare SWB van, typically the price is around £2400 inc VAT for a Drivelodge in gelcoat. £2500 for a LWB. Painting is usually £275. Any van that's already fitted out and therefore needs stripping out they quote individually, but budget for around an extra £1000 if it's a 'camper'...

    My Build So Far

...the to do are on hold as the new roof will be fitted in the first week of August and I’ll be stripping the van for that work to be carried out. So the only thing I have had to outsource is the roof which is booked in with Drivelodge. Then will give the DVLA a nudge for change of use to...
