UPDATE..
I took it to the dealership who were able to scan for the code.. they said it’s the Coolant Bypass valve, stuck open.
They turned off the warning but it came straight back on again. They weren’t worried. I’m going to try VW Assist again as per advice above.
Any thoughts are welcome!
