Wiring diagrams

I asked the question in a different thread but got no response so maybe I'm going at this the wrong way. I'm new to this so apologies if thats the case. I'll rephrase... I need wiring diagrams for the T6. I'm happy to pay for it or take out VIP membership but it would be good to know if they are available here or if someone could just suggest somewhere to start looking. Thanks.

The most accurate source of wiring diagrams is ELSAWIN (VW's own maintenance software) however I have yet to see a version available on eBay that covers Commercial vehicles after 2014 maybe someone else can correct me.

Otherwise your source is a friendly dealer but there are so many variations and pages of diagrams that may be difficult.

We offer a technical info service to VIP members but it would need to be specific info you are after, there is no one document that covers everything its spread over thousands of pages
What info are you actually after ?

I'm doing a camper conversion and need a way of opening the tailgate from the inside. My only method at the moment is sticking a finger through the grommet hole but that won't be easy with a seat bed back there. I want to retrofit a switch to activate the release solenoid but need to see where the existing wiring comes from so I can put in the necessary protection to prevent voltage feeding back to the central locking circuits.

Can you not rewire the existing tailgate release switch to a new position or have you not got one ?

Thanks for the reply. I was thinking along the same lines myself. Having taken the door card off I've realised that the external door release is in fact connected to an electrical switch, and isn't a mechanical release as I had assumed. I'll probably fit a 3-position rocker switch so it can also serve as an isolator to stop the tailgate being opened from the outside while we are inside using it as a camper.
