Upgrading my radio todaybor tomorrow

How or where do i find the radio's safe code?

Safe codes went out with the T5.1

T6 uses component protection instead of a code. (Coded to van)

I was aware of this but i thought there was a safe code to use if it was to be installed in a different vehicle?

The radio is not worth much but thought it would turn into a bottle of gin or two for my liver

No it needs decoding from the van before its removed.



Then needs recoding to a new van....

Hmm..

I know the soft coding as in carplay etc had been cracked.

Wasnt sure the whole uninitialize, remove, fit in new van, re initialize etc was part of that hack.

I didnt think it was as yet.

Still a very difficult and expensive process unless main dealer.

I'm sure we shall see in the months to come....1

They do say CP is removed via Odis, he told me my Disco unit will be able to go into another van, but he didn’t say how it was done exactly.

I got mine decoded on eBay for £5. Just had to send them the code and they sent me back the code within an hour. Worked perfectly too
