Where does the USB data cable go to?

Search found nothing, wire diagrams / part diagrams....nothing.

Where does the green USB data cable go from the USB ports? It doesnt seem to go to the back of the headunit from what i can tell. Do all T6.1 head units have a control unit behind the glovebox?

No separate box on mine. So must go to the back of the head unit.

Assuming its that yellow one. I saw that on mine as well, but weird how it changes from green at the USB port end to yellow at the radio!

Still, i have the fault code U11B800, so the radio and usb hub aren't talking

Yeah guessing it's the yellow ...

Chapter 35 shows the USB wiring info on a T6.1
Page 3 is the dash socket and shows the cables going to the headunit (or the control unit for information electronics as VW like to call it !)

This is a photo someone on the forum took of the plugs on the back of the head unit if that is of any help....

It was posted to show the connections additional speakers, but shows the other connectors as well.

This is the connector information, with connector C the external audio connector​

I fixed my USBs!!!!

Turns out that yellow cable only goes one way, except there are 4 pins, but no markings at all. For some reason, i didnt have the yellow receiving plug like pictured above.....

I rotated the plug 180 degrees and it all works!

Yeah its weird, its only the internal circular bit - the receiving yellow clip bit is missing. Though that picture above makes it look as though the clip is held on with glue!
