I have a T32 2016 with 215/60/R17 Devonports can I do a straight swap to 235/55/Zr17, sorry for my ignorance in this.
The reason for this is i need new tyres and there are a set of 235 Devonports delivery miles on ebay.

235/55/17 and 215/60/17 are both factory options and have the same overall diameter.

Cheers Loz. Just looking at width, as seems to be a lot of grey around if a 235 tyre would be ok on a 7j alloy...

Make sure the load rating is OK for your maximum loaded axel. The ZR designation suggests a car bias tyre. You need at least 103 if not 104 load rating
Not wishing to offend anybody, but there must be tyre fitter out there somewhere who actually knows his/her trade, Unfortunately, I'm still yet to meet them......

The plate inside my drivers door confirms that VW thinks a 235 is okay on a 7j rim.

Just worth mentioning that the 16" tyres on the jamb sticker above are not for T32 load rating wise.
