Been to view a collection of T6s this afternoon at an independant dealer - i will not mention who, but i will say their painter & paint prep needs retraining!!

Being sold as 'Immaculate condition', travelled in excess of 120 Miles for all of ten minute review - WOW either my standards are too high or resellers need to up their game Rant ends

At least it's lovely weather to have a drive out.

Traveling around to look at vehicles is what we used to do before the Internet came along and made everything look like new in the photographs.

I must've done a thousand miles on the motorbike, all over southern and central England looking at vans before I found the one, ironically almost my doorstep.

Some were a wasted journey, totally misdescribed. Others were great vans but we were too far apart on the mkney.

Good point well made! Wasnt aimed at all resellers just specifically this one today - sure you understand the rant! Was hoping others had experienced this frustration to stop me ranting like a loon for past 2 hours

We drove 132 miles each way to go see a van that was 'tidy' to find it was being sold by a garage that had jacked it up , crushed both rear sills and bowed the rear quarter panels in doing so ..
When I asked they just said " its an easy fix" .
We drove to view numerous vans that had been sold between us leaving home and arriving at the address .

Been in the same boat looking for a Kombi,
Or a van with a tailgate.

I purposely explained to the people selling I painted for many years so know a lot about it .
Has it had paint ?does it have dings ?
Scratches ect ect
Drove to York looking at an edition at a dealership what an absolute dog! Had loads of paint bad paint recently may I add!!
Drove to near Doncaster for a private sale in bamboo green recently advertised what an absolute dog both sides been painted very badly ,and a number of others .these are not cheap bangers I’m talking 30k vans lost the faith tbh these people buy these vans own them clean them use them ect .
Just honest opinions is all that’s needed !!!!!!
not try and get you there thinking you’re dumb n you will buy it????
I’m not tarring everyone selling a van with this brush just some people dont mind messing others around!!!!

A lot of garages and private sellers do have a strange idea as to the meaning of the words "mint condition".

I dont know why the bother bullshitting, because anyone with a braincell will spot it a mile off, and those that haven't a clue don't need to be bullshitted in the first place.

One van I looked at in Grain had been very strategically photographed to hide paint scrapes and seat bolster damage. Im a very large chap and my face must've looked like thunder because I think the little guy selling it thoght I was going to thump him the way he kept saying, "Im sorry, im sorry, I'm sorry!" I was tempted to turn him over and shake him until a refund for my petrol had dropped out his pockets, but what do you do? Suck it up and move one to the next one is the only way, as paimful as it can be.

Lost count of the amount of 'mint' motors i've been to see where i've done a walk around and left again without even saying hi .
