What's this dash part!?

Today I noticed a small transparent plastic cap on my dash.
At a quick glance, I don't see / feel anything behind it.

Dashboard Plastic Cover 7E0919068... What is it!?

wasnt this part of the AC system and a cover for the SUN intensity sensor?

Thanks for the info...

I have an aftermarket GPS sensor to install, and considered printing a replacement adapter to fit the aperture.
Just tried both sunlight and covered over and did indeed hear a change in the blowers... Best leave it be and go to plan b!

Some suggestions: GPS antenna location #1 under A pillar cover, there’s a bit of flat surface to stick it on, I have my dashcam gps antenna there



GPS antenna location #2 sitting on top of the right hand center console air channel


The latter is right below my keys in this picture, these are for LHD T6
