I second that, great tyreAlways rated Goodyear eagle assymetricsthese are normally my go to .
Happy enough, but the current ATTs are a bit hard to find without some effort and a few extra snitters. If you've been happy with the current tyre, get the same again... if you can
If you don’t want to run older tyres I’d be careful with Black Circles. I’ve enquired with them before and they state that they will supply tyres with up to 2 years since DOT.Yeah, I've had an exploratory nosey on BC. They do Hankook Kinergy 3S with a 104 rating and theyre on my shortlist as I've very positive experience of those on my XC90.
No urgency, I'll get through to then spring, but its nice to mull these things over well jn advance.
That maybe your ‘in use’ limit but there is no limit on a Class 4 or 5 vehicles unless it has 9 or more seats in the UK.Thats interesting. Used them almost exclusively for the last decade and never had any more than a few months old, but worth keeping an eye on for sure.
Certainly 2 years if stored correctly isnt concerning- up to 5 years is the accepted retail standard, believe it or not. 6 years once in use is the limit, or 10 on a low usage vehicle stored correctly.
If that is correct (and i'm not doubting you) how would the rumoured new 5 year limit on MOTs be implemented?Thats interesting. Used them almost exclusively for the last decade and never had any more than a few months old, but worth keeping an eye on for sure.
