Hello guys. Not sure what pipe this is in the picture? Maybe intercooler pipe....not overly sure. But it wasn't sitting properly and had a very small bit of oil inside. I took the clip of and pushing in properly but think it will maybe happen again while driving.
Yep looks like an intercooler pipe .
you could buy a new O ring and make sure the clip isn't bent .
Or just wipe it clean and see if it shows any sign of weeping again in a few weeks.
You'll note that the rubber pipe is fitted inside an aluminium socket. This socket slides into the intercooler.
The clips look like this
In your picture, you can see the little tab here
I cant quite make out the orientation of your picture, but the tabs should be at the top.
The aluminium socket which fits inside the intercooler has a little hook on each side like this.
These should fit into slots in the intercooler...
... and slide behind the clip to lock it in place.
They may click but you might need to force them down.
I dont know if yours is original but some aftermarket intercoolers are not the best fit. I bought one and the clips were a different profile so didnt lock as positively. Also, the socket just didnt seem to fit very well. I got there in the end but it kept coming apart just like this until I wired it in place.
This is an ongoing issue with VW boost pipes, had the same prob with my T5 many years ago as the little ears or lugs wear away and dont hold properly
You can try refitting/reinserting the clips and if it doesnt work just replace the boost pipe
