What is this connector for?

Ok. So stsrted putting my dash back together and found this at central dash area, i am pretty sure it is unused USB but not sure. Can't find anywhere to plug it in.

Any ideas?

Can we get a front on view showing the number and size of pins

Looks like a dash button connector to me, if so it will have six small pins in it

10 pin female connector. Can't see anwhere for it to go so guess it is redundant... Any ideas?

It 100% won’t be redundant. Maybe the PCB under the DSG lever surround?

Haha. Yep there it is. I was looking at all the bits of dash littered around the van and missed the one hidden behind the lever surround!

Any chance you could post the VW part number of the connector please - probably on the other side with VW/Audi logo, something like 4D0 971 XXX Z
