Hey all, after a bit of help. I had the OEM head unit issue where the digitiser stops working. Bought a new one, fitted as per the Youtube videos and smoke came out the head unit. Stripped it down, everything looked fine (no scorching of the circuit boards etc). Took the new digitiser off, plugged the oem head unit back in- nothing. Assumed it was dead, purchased a RCD360- same issue.
I have checked every fuse under the dash, all ok. ACC, gauges etc all work ok.... am I missing something or have I fried something else? Also tired resting an error code in with Carista (error U112100 Data bus missing message). Comes back immediately id cleared (not sure if related). Have ran a multi meter and there is still power from the quad lock... so hopefully thats ok and associated wiring?
