What are you drinking tonight?

But its Sunday?!
(Also, I can only seem to do day time drinking these days, evening drinking kills me for days!)
No nearby pubs for us and tend only then to have a drink at home. Cut right back anyway not every day did a few months without any at all. Have to drive some distance to find a nice pub worth going too. Take sort of turns who does the driving and I am well in credit but if I have a couple of pints in an afternoon want to go to sleep then and do not tend to go out any more in the evening oh how boring. However although it is very pleasant to have nice grub in a pub they have on the main lost the social side where one could have a natter with someone else or play pool with someone other than ones partner wife what ever. The local goss. Most pubs now are homes

Sad but true.

although I’m having a beer now I don’t really drink at home (or try not to) but when I go out now it’s more with the wife and to the sort of place that serves nice food and not a proper pub, the real gems are those who manage to do both, they have an atmosphere but also have good grub. I have mates that inhabit a locals pub and generally they are a nice place with nice people but rarely do they do good food and I’m not that much of a drinker to be able to maintain a local myself, closest I come is the place in town with good beer where I have one or two at Friday afternoon/evening with the dog.

I don’t like driving to pubs, if there wasn’t any in walking distance I think I’d have to move! (May come to that if they all close!)

When we where younger we would walk miles to a good pub and then back. There are good pups that I like but too far and only go to them occasionally or even not at all.
