Westfalia tow hook pin out question, lost here.

Hi,
Can not figure out how the final connector on my bus are supposed to be configured.

Tried and follow the westfalia instructions but it looks like I should connect wire bk/ye to pin 1.

As I read it its the bk/ye wire from the tow hook going into the van connector pin1.

However that position is already taken?
This problem occurs on serveras position.

Can someone please explain this to me....

Right so you your supposed to de pin the original connector and use the one supplied and then the yellow black are linked in the new block connector so you could just splice into the black and yello it looks like

So basically you put the vehicle wiring into the kits connector

Fxxck me I destroyed the new connector removing the pins. So im stuck with original connector and loose pins on the new side.
Hmm Wonder if I can find out how they were connected on the westfalia harness

Don’t panic it looks to be a link in loom do you should in theory be able to splice into the van wiring and solder in do you get what I mean

But I have the og connector stil intact, I should be able to attach the pins to the original connector. They seem identical.

Any chance you can email westfalia and say “ I’ve just come to fit my kit but the wiring you have provided does not have a connector on it “
Use poetic license your not lieing that it does not have a connector on it because it does now but you don’t have to say cause you took it off

Ok so you need to determine the vehicle wiring colours to what feature as in brake lights and indicators and then cross reference them

Think I might replug og connector and try and reach out to westfalia next week. Not going to tow anything right now anyway. .

Anyways, a bit confused about your 1st post as the connector/wiring look like the original T6 rear parking sensors. Your van has factory rear parking sensors? Why towbar electrics would connect there?

I followed the instructipns in your link.
Seems like they use that connector when the van are built with " trailer hitch preparation"?
They add wires to the empty positions
