Welcome new members

Hello.
I've jumped ship from my trusted old T4... And gone for a T6 4motion 😊😬
No doubt will be getting involved. It's an ex British Gas van, but think it was from Scotland with service history from Glasgow. Then was done up for a competition I think 🤔 full camper conversion. It's not bad... But not perfect. So will be adding as I go.

Nice to see some proper manly vans turning up on thr forum.

I've just bought my T6.1 camper van and will be collecting it over the weekend.

Thanks for the help and advice in this thread

Roll on Spring-Summer!
Well, that didn't take you long. ;)

What spec have gone for?

Hello.
For the last few years thoughts about a small bus were haunting me. Probably im of that age now when sportcars do not inspire me, but the though of me driving a whole stack of gardening supplies or 20 bags of salt tablets (~600kg) in one run makes me aroused :D
Started to choose models and it seems that the T6 is the only logical choice - I hate the new T7 multivan (and its price also), a used and alive V-classe is 2-3 times the price of a T6, Renault Traffic is worse in terms of comfort (new one in business version is nice, but its 50k eur), the stellantis van-like product is not very reliable and Ford tourneo is a ford...

Yesterday bought a used T6 Multivan. 2019 2.0tdi CXFA with a DSG. Spec = probably Trendline of that time - its empty, only addition is the second row climate control (however im not sure if it was an extra option). Good that i've found this forum and read about the 200hp tdi engines being basically the BMW N57 engine of volkswagen group (buy it used with 200k km on odometer = high chance to pay 7-8k eur for engine repairs).

Van is going to be used for family trips & for transporting motorcycles to various events.
I have plans to retrofit a bunch of stuff in the T6. Got most of my ideas here.

Ordered:
Gladen ONE speaker set
Some sound isolating materials for front doors
A RCD360-ish stereo head - mine is a half-dead most basic vw unit, so its going to be an upgrade, will take an Alpine unit later on
Verious bits and pieces that i've found about on this forum

Once im done with those, il probably start to retrofit parking sensors and a rearview camera + will try to put sound isolation on the other parts of the van.

@Bav
I bought an All-Seasons Ultra S with a SWB 150 engine, Silver. I've searched the Country, and the van I found has 6 seats, which is a bonus, plus the benefit of the bed-on-rails system, a rear hot shower, and a host of other extras. The purchase was quick once I found the right van. The research took 12 months!

I am really pleased to have one of the last T6.1S to be built.

Now, just need the sun to come out

Excellent! Now you just need to cut 'n' shut that additional 40cm!:rofl:

Hello,
I'm new here and I hope to spend here much more time on reading about happiness of being a T6owner then looking for remedy for problems ;)
