Hi does anyone have a trick for getting the air inlet and hot air outlet 60mm hose to fit !!! As I try to twist it on it just rips !?

Buy 63mm instead of 60mm!
You can flatten the corrugations at the end on the foil/paper type to give a bit more flexibility in the material. Although I have had some 60mm ducting that has been impossible to fit including silicone - the silicone is easier if you remove the wire for a short length.
